The Csaba út overpass connects the two parts of Szombathely separated by railway tracks.  In addition to the road overpass, a 52-meter long underpass with an S-shaped alignment and LED lighting was built for cyclists and pedestrians under the four railway tracks, with ramps at the bottom, by our group of companies, Bayer Construct.

Kaposfüred bypass motorway bridge

Posted on: September 12th, 2022 by Vasadi-Balogh Tamás

Our group was awarded a contract to build a bridge on the four-lane R67 motorway bypassing Kaposfüred, at the junction of roads 67 and 61. The aim of the project was to create a separate level junction at the intersection of two major roads, but the construction of a pedestrian and cycle underpass was also part of the project.

Püspökladány railway bridge and underpass

Posted on: September 12th, 2022 by Vasadi-Balogh Tamás

In connection with the reconstruction of the Budapest-Szajol-Debrecen railway line, it became necessary to build a multi-level railway crossing at Püspökladány instead of the previous level crossing. For this reason, an underpass was built in 2015 for the urban, transversal vehicular and pedestrian traffic, the reinforced concrete structure of which, together with the railway bridge, was constructed by our company Bayer Construct.

Bihar Airport

The development of the Biharkeresztes airport was prepared by Bihar Airport, a company established in 2018 by Bayer Construct and Kutas 95 Zrt. As a prelude to the works, the permits for an 860-meter grass runway have already been obtained, but Bihar Airport decided to pave the runway, the construction of which started in autumn 2019. The runway is located just one kilometer from the Biharkeresztes Industrial Park, where the group’s three plants are located.

Atrium Center

Arad’s first shopping center, the Atrium Center was born in 2010, and its interesting feature is that it is located next to the most important railway hub in South Transylvania, the Arad Central Railway Station, just like WestEnd in Budapest. The structural engineering of the project was carried out by our contractor group.

Aréna Plaza

Posted on: September 12th, 2022 by Vasadi-Balogh Tamás

The Arena Plaza shopping and entertainment center opened in 2007 on Kerepesi Street, on the site of the former rowing club, under the development of Plaza Centers. The construction of the middle third of the building, which is almost 500 meters long, was carried out by our company, meeting a tight deadline. The special feature of the project was the three glass chimneys above the atrium, which provide the lighting for the central spaces. These three ring-shaped chimneys were built on reinforced concrete pillars of considerable size, in an elliptical shape, with an unconventional inclined plane and a large cross-section. Because of the inclination, we had to cope with lateral concrete pressure, and therefore we used continuous geodetic surveying to monitor the possible displacement of the structure.

Etele Plaza

Our group also played a major role in the civil engineering and structural works of the third largest shopping and entertainment center in the country.

The construction above the Metro 4 tunnel was a special task, as it was not possible to directly load the beams and slabs on the existing structure of the metro structure, so a lower load distribution layer system had to be built under the supports. The construction of the high slabs presented similar challenges during the work.

The external appearance of the shopping center is defined and distinguished by the 1,200 square meter glass wall structure of the main entrance façade and the form of the box structures projecting and retracted in space on the façade. The latter – uniquely in Hungary – was constructed without any special structural support thanks to the special expertise of our company.

Érdi Ice Hall

Posted on: September 12th, 2022 by Vasadi-Balogh Tamás

The construction of the Érdi Ice Hall was our own investment with the help of TAO support. It is the second fully privately owned hall in this sport and the first ice sports facility in Hungary to operate continuously for 12 months. The rink, built to international standards, measures 60×26 square meters and has eight changing rooms. Construction of the sandwich-panel structure hall started in spring 2018 under the general construction of Bayer Construct. The state-of-the-art facility with a 298-seat grandstand and a two-storey office building was completed in December of that year and inaugurated in early 2019. The ice is cooled using a state-of-the-art system and geothermal energy is used in addition to renewable energy sources. It will be home to the Carpathian Wolves ice hockey team, as well as for public skating, recreational programs and other events.

Győr sports complex

Posted on: September 12th, 2022 by Vasadi-Balogh Tamás

For the European Youth Olympic Festival in the summer of 2017, Győr built a sports complex with a capacity of 5,000 people, including a multifunctional athletics track, a gymnasium, a judo hall and a tennis court. Our group was commissioned to carry out the monolithic structural works for the halls connected to the central hall. The most challenging part of the project was the construction of the exposed concrete wall in the central lobby, which had to be in perfect harmony with the prefabricated wall on the other side. Construction started at the end of February 2016 and was completed on schedule in the autumn. Since then, the complex has become one of Győr’s pride and joy, hosting sporting events, concerts and exhibitions.

Puskás Stadium

The construction of the Puskás Arena, the largest Hungarian construction project of the past decades, with a capacity of 67,000 people, started in 2017, and the inauguration of one of the top facilities of the Hungarian construction industry took place on 15 November 2019. Bayer Construct played a key role in the construction of the arena’s monolithic reinforced concrete structure, with nearly 700 people working on site every day, supported by 16 tower cranes and 5 mobile cranes. The iconic appearance of the stadium is ensured by the pilasters, which preserve the tradition of the old Puskás Stadium, and the construction of the reinforced concrete column towers, the swords, on top of these pilasters was a key step in the project. As it would have been difficult to transport the 60-tonne swords by road, they had to be prefabricated on site, which Bayer Construct was ultimately responsible for. We are also very proud of our company’s work on the Puskás Arena’s pilon grilles, which are currently the largest integrated design elements in Europe.

Completion of the production hall took place at the end of 2019, with series production of electronic components scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2020. The smart factory required unique design and technology to meet the challenges: the factory was built to LEED Gold certification and the construction phases were LEED certified.

Elite Park II-III

Posted on: August 5th, 2022 by Vasadi-Balogh Tamás

Elite Park is a 464-apartment condominium development in the area of Újbuda, located in the 11. district of Budapest, which is undergoing a rejuvenation process. The first building of the 3-building residential complex has already been handed over. The two buildings in the second and third phases of the development are being developed by Bayer Property under the construction of Bayer Construct. The Elite Park is a fusion of green space and residential areas, which together form a truly cozy and safe environment. It will be a vibrant feature of the neighborhood, with its unique, colorful facades, whose colors and mood match the dynamism of the area. The two ground floor + 9-story buildings will be constructed simultaneously on a corner plot with Budafoki street as the site boundary and Barázda street as the other border of the new residential neighborhood. The special design of the complex reduces the size of the floors from the 6th floor onwards, with jumps on the roof level, so that there are fewer and fewer apartments on each floor as you move upwards. The heating and hot water in the condominiums are provided by district heating, all apartments are air-conditioned and will be equipped with remote-controlled motorized roller shutters. All apartments in the Elite Park will have either terraces or balconies, while apartments on floors 7 to 9 will have spacious and well-furnished roof terraces. The complex will comprise a total of 464 apartments. The residential complex offers a wide range of sizes: from 30 m2 studio apartments to 120 m2 multi-bedroom properties, while the larger 2-4 bedroom apartments are also eligible for CSOK (Family Home Ownership Allowance). The development will include the installation of kitchen furniture, hallway furniture, bathroom furniture, and bathroom plumbing at the discretion of future owners. Parking will be provided by 21 surface parking spaces on the ground floor and a single-level underground parking garage, where 456 parking spaces will be available, 50 of which will be designed to accommodate e-charging.

Platán Garden

Posted on: April 6th, 2022 by Vasadi-Balogh Tamás

The Platán Garden Balaton condominium is being built on the site of the former Família Hotel in Balatonboglár, which is administratively the first property in Balatonboglár and is located directly on the waterfront. Thanks to its proximity to the lake, most of the apartments under construction will have a panoramic view.
The building will consist of a ground floor plus three floors and a penthouse. A total of 46 apartments will be built, ranging in size from one bedroom to three bedrooms. The apartments have been carefully designed to create well laid out, livable spaces and will be furnished and equipped to a high standard for the new owners.
The apartments will be designed in two different interior styles, with a pleasant atmosphere, simplicity, and pastel colors. In terms of design, a subtle blend of vintage and modern elements will be achieved. Each apartment has a terrace or balcony, which offers the opportunity for a cozy, summer evening outdoors experience.
The cooling and heating in the apartment building are provided by heat pumps, while hotwater is produced in each apartment by smart boilers. WiFi access will be installed throughout the property to ensure reliable coverage from the apartment to the waterfront.
For the residents, there is a 120 m2 jetty on the water, which can be accessed via a pier. There is also a sunbathing area on the beach and a playground for children. For evening activities, there will be a bar.
