Details of the project
We carried out structural construction work as part of a project commissioned by Confector Kft. and developed by Várkapitányság.
Originally built for the Red Cross Association based on the designs of Alajos Hauszmann and Dezső Hültl, and later home to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the building’s most beautiful interior spaces and external façade—demolished after World War II—are now being restored to their original form.
As part of the Várkapitányság development and commissioned by Confector Kft., Bayer Construct Zrt. carried out structural construction work.
The existing construction plans were partially redesigned by Bayer’s structural engineering team to incorporate mesh reinforcement and a precast panel wall system, enabling more efficient execution within the extremely limited site access.
The basement level was constructed as a hybrid structure, reusing the existing foundation and cellar walls.
The upper floors were built as new reinforced concrete structures.
