Érdi Ice Arena

Details of the project

The Érdi Ice Arena was built as a private investment with the support of the TAO sports funding program.

It is the second fully privately owned ice facility for this sport in Hungary and the first to operate continuously year-round, 12 months a year.

The ice rink, built to international standards, measures 60×26 meters and is complemented by eight locker rooms.

Construction of the sandwich panel–structured arena began in the spring of 2018, with Bayer Construct acting as the general contractor. The modern facility was completed by December of that same year, featuring a 298-seat spectator stand and a two-story office building, which was handed over in early 2019. Ice cooling is provided by a state-of-the-art system that uses renewable energy sources, including geothermal energy.

The arena serves as the home of the Kárpáti Farkasok ice hockey team, and also hosts public skating, recreational programs, and other events.
