Debrecen Clinic – In Vitro Diagnostic Block
In 2012, Bayer Construct was commissioned to develop the In Vitro Diagnostic Center of the University of Debrecen in order to ensure efficient patient care, quality education and research. The main challenge in the construction of the more than 6,000 square meter modern building was the lobby: the glass lift and the adjacent staircase, which is the central element of the lobby, were constructed using a monolithic reinforced concrete structure, which did not allow for any subsequent concrete technology improvements. In order to achieve this successfully, the company used self-compacting concrete technology for the first time, using special chemicals and formulations imported from Western Europe.
