The centerpiece of gravel extraction in the region is a newly manufactured Fiebig suction dredger.
This represents the most advanced and environmentally friendly form of gravel mining — the dredger is almost fully automated and powered exclusively by electricity.
Material with natural moisture is lifted by a large-diameter dewatering wheel onto a horizontal vibrating screen, where it undergoes further dewatering before being transferred to floating conveyor belts for transport to the shore.
The floating conveyor belts, equipped with 800 mm wide belts, carry the dewatered material to the shore, each driven by its own electric motor, ensuring zero emissions.
On land, another electrically powered conveyor belt transports the material to a large raw material depot located directly in front of the gravel grading unit.
